The “Medicina em Foco” Institute is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal data of our clients, patients, and third parties. Thus, this Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use, share, and protect the personal information you provide to us during your relationship with us.

The Institute needs your personal data for specific purposes and in accordance with the General Personal Data Protection Law – LGPD, as informed below:

1. Schedule medical appointments with patients.
2. Inform about the results of medical exams.
3. Undergo screening to identify the medical specialization indicated for the patient.
4. Send communications and reminders about appointments, cancellations, and results.
5. Maintain updated medical records to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Sending Newsletters, if the holder registers to receive them.
7. Offer services and promotions.
8. Process payments and billing.

For the performance of our activities, we may process the following categories of personal data:

1. Registration and identification data (full name, telephone, address, e-mail, date of birth);
2. Data related to electronic communications (e-mail, IP address, and information about accessed pages);
3. Health data (medical history, exam results, blood type, data relating to health plan or insurance);
4. Payment data (bank account, bank, payment method used, payment history).

It does not use third-party cookies, it only uses tracking cookies.

Your personal data is obtained via online or in-person service, in which the data subject’s registration is carried out in an internal system / the registration is imported into the Feegow/Doctoralia system. The history of services, consultations, and exams performed is stored during the relationship with the holder and the period necessary for legal and regulatory purposes.
We may also obtain your personal data through your interaction with our website, such as your IP address.

To achieve the proposed purposes, the following categories of data may be shared with authorized agents, as listed below:

User navigation data is stored in cache via CloudFlare and expires in 7 days, upon user authorization when accepting the cookie prompt upon entering the site.
Personal data stored by “Medicina em Foco” will be deleted when they have fulfilled the specific purposes for which they were collected, observing the rules for termination of treatment, deletion, and hypotheses for data retention, under the terms of articles 15 and 16 of the LGPD.

“Medicina em Foco” values the rights guaranteed to personal data holders by the LGPD. Thus, you may exercise the following rights:

• Right to confirmation of the existence of treatment;
• Right of access to personal data processed by the Institute;
• Right to information from public and private entities with which personal data has been shared;
• Right to correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated personal data;
• Right to information about the possibility of not providing consent and the consequences of refusal;
• Right to revoke consent for the processing of personal data, except for the situations provided for in the LGPD;
• Right to delete personal data processed with the holder’s consent, except in cases of legal storage and others provided for in the LGPD;
• Right to delete, anonymize, or block unnecessary, excessive data or data processed in non-compliance with the LGPD, as determined and within applicable limits;
• Right to portability of personal data to another processing agent, in accordance with ANPD regulations.

“Medicina em Foco” adopts security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Therefore, we have:

• Access to personal data only for authorized employees;
• Credentials for access to the internal system.
• Password changes every 6 months.
• Use of drive (Google Drive) for archiving documentation.
• Restricted and individualized access to data.
